Rosette Pierre’s Creative Classroom is a Cultural and Intellectual Enrichment 9-month program that was designed by Courage To Believe International, Inc. (C2B). It was designed to add to the students’ academic discipline in effort to foster more future authors, filmmakers, artists and art collectors/dealers, as well as entrepreneurs. The ultimate goal of this program is to promote healthy lifestyles both mentally and physically, thus avoiding the school-to-prison pipeline and producing more productive tax paying citizens. Rosette Pierre’s Creative Classroom will serve as a vehicle to help young ladies and gentlemen cultivate the creative minds of youth from the ages of 9 to 18 years, from all backgrounds to excel beyond perceived limitations - poverty, lack of parental guidance, peer pressure, violence, drugs, and generational curses- and be successful!
We created this program to assist with homework virtually or in person, as a positive alternative to internal suspension to keep the at-risk students engaged while school is in session instead of feeling alienated. Eventually we elevated the program to the next level out of concern of the increased televised police brutality towards the African-American community and the violence amongst the youth within the Atlanta urban community; these instances leave lasting detrimental images in the student's psyche, leading them towards the very thing that we are combating, the school-to-prison-pipeline. Our program is geared towards strengthening student learning in academic areas, communication arts, mathematics, and science, which has been proven according to Missouri Alliance for Arts Education research in 2019; art education supports student outcomes by providing quality fine arts instruction. The results are improvement in study discipline, attendance, and graduation rates.
